In a spaceship, an ensign introduces the captain to a visiting alien.
Ensign: Meet my alien half sister, who is very important to me and always has been.
Captain: You never mentioned a sister before.
Ensign: We were tragically separated in the asteroid war.
Captain: But… when we visited the asteroids, you said it was your first time.
Ensign: So I believed, but actually, I’d repressed the memories because of trauma.
Sister: And I only recently recovered from amnesia and came to find him.
Captain: This seems perfectly normal.
The captain shakes hands with the sister. A strange glow covers their joined hands as the captain falls into a trance.
Captain: Nice to meet you. I’m the captain.
Sister: I am your alien half sister.
P.S. Our bills are paid by our wonderful patrons. Could you chip in?
So, is she a spy or just lonely?
The alien just likes roleplaying soap opera scenarios.
Well, everyone needs an alien half-sister. I’m sure the captain will also come up with a heart-warming story about how they were separated and why he didn’t remember her.
LOL … good one again, Bunny and Chris!

Is the blue Alien based on the Na’vi from Avatar? If so, what is your stance on the movie? Is it bad or good?
That’s not what the alien is based on, or it would look a lot more cat like. As for the movie, the first one was unremarkably mediocre from a storytelling perspective, except for being the platonic ideal of a white savior plot, which was pretty shitty. I haven’t seen the second one.
It was mostly due to the blue Color and the tail that made me think of them, but thanks for the info.
Yeah, the first movie was beyond its stunning visuals not super great, but not the worst movie in existence, I found Infinity Wars worse.
I have no view on the second movie either, I have to watch it.
Well, I’m not exactly a reviewer, but let’s just say that the second movie is all James Cameron.
It’s his movie in all the best (and worst) ways.
There’s a bad guy in Bleach who can basically do this, rewriting character pasts to insert themselves
Unexpected, but welcome. Now i know how to introduce myself to people that make too many questions.
Those uniforms look pretty nice if I do say so myself.
That’s actually more scary than funny, but still clever.
Ensign: “Uh, wait. If she’s a half sister of both of us, then… when we, uhhh… when we… you know, last deployment… in the gym…?”
At the time I first watched the Avatar movie, I really dug it. Now that I’m aware of the white savior stuff though, I can’t say that I have the same enthusiasm.
I mean the Na’vi and Pandora are interesting as well as the idea that Humans are the alien invaders this time around. For a Movie, it was all a novel concept and I liked aspects of that Story, but the White Savior narrative is a major flaw that should be talked about more, if only there is a site that can discuss major flaws within a movie and also how it’s tropes are problematic and dangerous…if only it exists…If only…
