Two steampunk heroes stand at an overlook, viewing the remains of a giant clockwork monster.
Hero 1: The great destroyer is finally defeated!
Hero 2: But at what cost?
Hero 1 puts a comforting hand on the shoulder of Hero 2.
Hero 1: Take heart. While our friends may be dead, along the way we learned that love conquers all.
The camera zooms out to reveal that the heroes are being attended by numerous servants with heart eyes and a pink glowing band around one arm.
Hero 1: Hey, lackey, where’s that coffee I asked for?
Servant: Right here, sir. I love you, sir!
P.S. Our bills are paid by our wonderful patrons. Could you chip in?
Love does, indeed, conquer all.
Great one again, Bunny and Chris!
Hear, hear! Plus, love the steampunk costumes!
this is actually the only legit use of that phrase I think I’ve ever witnessed. good job!
So…they aren’t friends with their lackeys? We aren’t specifically told who defeated the monster. Since the lackeys have the heart-shapes, and the heroes don’t, did the lackeys defeat the monster?
A good one, as always.
Aw yeah, Steampunk!
I love these comics so much
It would certainly be interesting to know, how we got to this point.
Occam’s razor implies that the defeat of that robot required turning the two heroes’ friends into love-crazed lackeys, and Hero 2 is a bit more uncomfortable of the fact than Hero 1
