In the game, Tash and Emma come face to face with a fiery demon.
Faird: Your low supplies are now the least of your worries, for a fiery demon rises from the dark and attacks.
Emma blocks the demon’s fire with her shield, which burns to ashes.
Emma: See, this is why you shouldn’t make a shield out of wood!
Tash tries to attack the demon with her knife, but it just bounces off its armor. Emma tries to hit it with her hammer, but it keeps her back with fire.
Tash: My attacks are less than optimal.
Emma: And I can’t get close enough!
At the table, Tash opens the book and points to a rules passage.
Farid: Does that mean it’s time to run away?
Tash: Not quite. I challenge them to a Riddle Conflict!
In the game, Tash says a riddle to the demon while Emma sneaks up and wacks it on the head from behind with her hammer.
