Making a villain for your roleplaying campaign is always tricky. You want them to be intimidating and fun to fight, so the natural instinct is to spend a lot of time fleshing them out.     Remember to change up your villain types from time to time. I remember this exchange while running a game and introducing an NPC:

    Player: He did it – he’s the bad guy!
    Me: He hasn’t done anything to you.
    Player: Yeah, but you’re using your Villain Voice™.
    Me: … Dang.
